A recent outing on the Youghiogheny River Lake provided an evening of excellent fishing and entertainment with the boys. With a simple approach of using small tungsten jigs tipped with a small chunk of crawler or gulp minnow brought a mixed bag of species to hand consisting of; bluegills, pumpkinseeds, smallmouth bass, black crappie, yellow perch, bullheads, and Jases prized northern pike. The action was nonstop and fish were accumulating in the live well, but the excitement went through the roof as Jase hooked something big in the bushes. As he fought the fish, he repeatedly shouted its big dad, its big! all while Finley was preparing to do the net job. Finley did not let his little brother down and performed a flawless net job to bring Jases prize abord the S.S. Cattywampus.. A quick measurement of 25 made this fish a legal to keep so it was of to Jase to determine the uncertain future for the pike.. No way Im throwing that back dad! was shouted and into the live well he went! Its never a dull moment with this crew on board and these memories will last a lifetime!
