It rained a little here in southern Maryland last evening. So when I headed over to fish for bass in Charles County this morning I wasn�t sure of the water conditions. The two ponds I targeted were out of their banks. I fished just the one pond and in its headwaters finding bass in flooded timber and grasses. The fish were in water that was no more than a few feet deep. Casting a wacky worm against the bank and any laydowns did the trick. In the end I caught eight bass. Most of the fish were in the 17 inch range and a few larger fish. The biggest bass was 20 3/4
