I went exploring today and fished two ponds at Myrtle Grove WMA. Not the main lake and pond, but another group of ponds on the far west of the property.

There is a small parking lot off Hawthorne Rd (225). If you go back about 100 yards you�ll see the first pond. There are several ponds in a tight group, I fished two of them. I didn�t make it back to the largest of the ponds due to trees across the trail from the recent storms. I was unable to wheel my kayak back any further.

Although I got there late (8:30) I did catch six largemouth bass on wacky worm and a small white chatter bait.
