I'm sitting here feeling tired after todays (8/21) outing. I walked the 1.25 miles back to the lake from the parking lot. Then another mile back to where I dropped into the lake for some wade fishing.
I got a late start because of my hemming and hawing on where I would fish today. I took a few casts down at the end of Dowell Road into Mill Creek where I caught a white perch.
I then headed over to St Marys State Park, arriving there at 10:30. I started casting a beetle and catching bass with the bait, until I lost it. And of course I didnt pack a replacement. Ugh! I tied on a wacky rig and continued to catch bass. The fish were caught around laydowns and over hydrilla. My tally for the day, 16 bass caught. Yea I lost another seven fish too. I love the solitude of wade fishing, the quiet and the hunt. What a great day.
