Another gloomy weather day on the water. I headed out later than normal today (10/27) to fish Centennial Lake because the ramp doesnt open until sunrise.
So, I launch my kayak with tiger musky on my mind. I trolled large plugs and number 8 Mepps spinners. I pulled the baits along the shoreline of the lake and zigzag a few times across too. But no luck on the musky front. Not sure if it was the weather, me or that the DNR stocked the lake with 800 rainbow trout earlier in the month. Thinking they may not be very hungry after their morning fill of trout. Guessing I should had checked the put-and-trout stocking reports before I headed out.
Anyway, I did cast a wacky rig some and caught five small largemouth bass and a crappie. I staved off the skunk!
