Location: Triadelphia Reservoir
We spent Tuesday, 11/10 and Wednesday night, 11/11, electrofishing Triadelphia Reservoir. It's open again and people have been taking full advantage. There is an abundance of flooded woody vegetation and willows due to the three years the reservoir was drawn down and subsequently refilled. Because of the lack of rainfall the reservoir is still around 10 feet low, but the fish are up in the shallows in large numbers fattening up for the winter. We had record breaking numbers of 2-3 year old largemouth bass and a variety of other nice fish.
We took a few pictures of the fish we were able to survey and return to the water. One was a walleye, which was around 3.5 lbs and a tiger muskie that was about 18 lbs. and 41 inches long.
