On 11/13, I fished with my friend Darren on the Eastern Shore. We started at Tuckahoe State Park. But quickly found out that the lake was flooded and water was flowing over the dam at a high rate. We had no luck there so we loaded up the kayaks and headed over to Smithville Community Lake.
On Smithville we found the lake was high also. Although. due to its larger size and configuration the water wasnt moving across the lake as quickly. But it wasnt easy fishing. I looked for pickerel but found that the water temperature was warm to the touch and not cold as I expected it to be. I caught a bass, Darren caught a bass and a crappie. Both bass were caught on a 1/4 oz jig and four inch paddle tail. Although the day wasnt the best fishing it was fun to get out on the water.
