An Hour at Calvert Cliffs Pond

Type: Nontidal
Region: Southern
Location: Calvert Cliffs Pond

Tuesday, 11/24 started with some running around and an oil change for the Jeep, but soon after I was done I donned my hip waders and headed for Calvert Cliffs.

I had a feeling that there may be a few holdover rainbow trout from the October 19th DNR stocking. I tied on a bead head prince nymph with a pink squirmy dropper. It wasnt long and a had two bluegill on the squirmy. Then I spotted some movement on the surface and took a cast, it wasnt until my third cast that I had a small rainbow trout to show for my efforts. The trout took the nymph. I hooked a Yo-Zuri bait too!

A fun hour at the pond!
