Freshwater This Week

The past two days I went pickerel fishing because I�m fishing the CCA pickerel tournament. On Tuesday I hit Smithville Lake but found little joy there. Catching only one small fish on a minnow. Apparently the weather on the Eastern Shore wasn�t the best on Monday. The mill ponds were pretty much blown and the water was very dirty. I stopped by Tuckahoe on the way back and it was the same, very high and very dirty water. Looks as if this weekend won�t be much better with more rain in the forecast. But, the CCA pickerel tournament runs 86 more days so I�ll get more opportunities to fish the mill ponds.
