On Sunday, 12/6, my buddy Zach Ditmars and I met at Smithville Lake, hunting pickerel. We shared the lake with three other anglers, they were looking for pickerel too.
We fished several hours without any luck but as we headed back to the ramp Zach caught a 23.5 fish on a minnow. The other three anglers had caught a few crappie.
We then pulled off the lake and headed over to the Severn River. There we fished a feeder creek. Zach caught three fish I caught eight, landed six. The biggest fish there was 20.5. We fished minnows without luck catching all the fish on 1/4 oz jig with a 4 paddle tail. It was a frustrating and cold, but a fun day of fishing.
Today (Tuesday 12/8) I hit the Magothy hunting pickerel again. Only catching two 19.5 fish out of Old Man Creek. Although the tide was high there wasnt any water because of the wind.
