I recently had the urge to go back to my roots and fish some property that I grew up fishing as a kid. After knocking on a few doors, I was able to secure a few connecting properties to fish.
This body of water is the only place in my county that holds a naturally reproducing wild rainbow trout population. If you have never fished for "wild" trout then you are missing out. I have been exclusively targeting muskie for a while now and wanted to switch gears.
I mainly targeted deep shaded fast moving water with a stealthy approach. It doesn't take much movement to spook these wary fish in gin clear water. I was able to land a few decent size males and females by the end of the trip. Tight lines fellow anglers and God bless us all!
