Shad are Nice Sized but Fishing is Slow

I caught my first fish of the year today at Fletchers Boathouse on shad darts. Some of the fish were nice sized included a big hickory shad. I also caught an american shad. All the fishing spots were taken along the shoreline. People are returning to their favorite fishing spots now that the covid vaccine is available. Weather was nice but the fishing was slow with fish biting once every hour. River is clear, might need some rain. Maybe by april the fishing will improve.
