Shad at Fletchers

The fishing is in full swing at Fletchers Boathouse on the Potomac River. I caught at least 30-40 Hickory Shad and one American shad which put up a nice fight. When I arrived at Fletchers Boathouse the parking lot was full. I had to hunt for a space but eventually found one south of the Abner Cloud House. The fishing was worthwhile and the day nice. The man at the tackle shop said the water was a little cold for American Shad but warmer water should bring more Americans in.
