I once fished off Sunset Beach Pier in North Carolina and the crowd there was filling their coolers with big spot for their dinner that day. Back here in Maryland we tend to use spot strictly for bait, and that was my intention when I arrived at Bill Burton Pier in Cambridge on Saturday, August 28th. I caught plenty of bait-size spot for future striper fishing, but when this outlier gave me a decent fight on my ultralight gear, I decided to give it a tastes test. With enough Old Bay Seasoning it wasn't bad at all
