Catfish Problem

Type: Tidal
Region:
Location: Potomac River

I fished the lower Potomac on 9/5/2021. Left the dock around 2:15 pm and fished until 5:00 pm. We caught tons of catfish. Too many to count and too many to keep. We caught them on every rig design we have made. We couldn't keep them off the hook. We did our part to slow down an invasive species but more needs to be done. In my opinion, it would be great if someone would create a fertilizer company that could come up with a program to pay for these fish and turn them into fertilizer. This might be a good start to restoring some kind of balance to the fishery, just a thought. By the way we also caught some Perch, Spot, Croaker and keeper Rockfish.
