On 9/28 I fished St Marys lake in the morning with friends Julian and Judi Tsai, hunting largemouth bass. We started on the upper end of the lake. The water temperature was 77.4%
I was casting small crankbaits, wacky rig, drop shot and paddle tail jigs. Judi started with a wacky rig, but w/o success. So I tied on a beetle spin for her, she caught 4 bass. Julian caught two bass and a bluegill off a perch powered. I caught 14 bass, a pickerel and zebco rod and reel. The bass ate all of the aforementioned, but most were caught on drop shot, the pickerel ate a crankbait as did the zebco rod and reel. Our fish were all caught in water from 2 up to 14. There was no set pattern, seems they were on the move.
