I fished Triadelphia Reservoir on 9/24. for several hours without much success. Catching only one small pike at first.
Then I found a pattern that worked and started catching additional fish. The pattern that worked for me was to find the fish on my depth finder then drop a shaky head jig directly on top of the fish, let it sit a few seconds then raise and drop the bait. My line then would get heavy and fish on. I did catch a fish on a square-billed crankbait too. I reported this out to two friends who fished the lake Saturday morning. One used my technique, the other didn't. The one who did, caught fish, while the other caught just one or two fish.
In the end I caught three pike a largemouth bass and a smallmouth bass too. Here are the vitals
