Some Patuxent River Fishing

My friend Julian and I headed up to fish the Little and Middle Patuxent today for smallmouth bass. We were casting small beetle spin, Panther Martin inline spinners and a jointed jerkbait while we worked the pools, where we could find them, but they were far and few in between. The water was really low.

I caught two brown trout and two fallfish. One of the fallfish was caught on a jointed jerkbait the other fish were caught on the Panther Martin. I did pull a major rookie move, and left my net in the Jeep. So, the first trout I caught popped off as I was lifting it out of the water. By the rod�

I gotta say, I can�t complain of the weather or the fishery. What a beautiful area, I always like fishing up around Savage, MD.
