,p>I launched my kayak on Johnson�s yesterday morning (2/28/22) I had hoped to luck into a 27 inch or longer chain pickerel to improve my standing in the CCA pickerel tournament which ended yesterday. I didn�t catch anything larger than 24� though.

I was casting jerk baits and fishing minnows under a bobber on unpainted jig heads and it proved successful. I ended up catching 11 pickerel, 2 largemouth bass, and a crappie on Johnson�s lake. I made a quick stop at Schumaker too, casting from shore and catching one fish there.
