Week in Review

Location: Calvert Cliffs State Park, tidal lake in Calvert County

This week I fished for stocked trout at Calvert Cliffs State Park on Monday and Tuesday. Catching 16 rainbow trout and four golden trout on a fly rod casting a nymph with a bead head nymph dropper. I also caught on spinning gear casting a Panther Martin gold bladed spinner. All fish were released or given to other anglers as a portion of their total of five fish.

On Wednesday I fished a tidal lake in Calvert County, catching a 31� striped bass, five largemouth bass and four crappie. The largest crappie was 16�. All were caught on a 1/4oz jig with a 4� paddle tail.

On Friday, 3/18 I fished Triadelphia Reservoir looking for pike. I ended up catching one and upping my species count for this year to 12. I caught three bass too. Catching all fish on a 1/4 oz jig with a 4� paddle tail.
