I got back to town on 6/19 in the early afternoon from a short trip to the Smoky Mountains. I never got the opportunity to fish while there, but I did run down to the community pier that evening. Catching three striped bass. All on 1/2 oz jig/4 white paddle tail.
I then fished Mill Creek out of the kayak on Monday 6/20 looking for cutlass fish. I had a friend tell me that he had caught a few cutlass at the docks. I did have a few takers but I couldnt get a hook set. Only catching two striped bass, one of them being a keeper.
The bite on the creek was super slow. So I left and headed to St Marys Lake. I fished the lake for two hours catching four largemouth bass, two yellow perch, a pickerel and a crappie. All on a small crawfish colored square billed plug.
Then yesterday, 6/21 I took the grandkids down to the pier. Isaac catching a white perch on a beetle spin. Xavier drew a skunk. I caught a striped bass and a cutlass fish. I had two others cutlass fish come unbuttoned and several bite my paddle tails off, Xavier had a few baits bitten off too. We then went home for dinner. I then snuck back down to the pier, without the boys. Catching an additional three striped bass. One being a keeper. All caught on chartreuse paddle tail.
