Viyaan's Fishing Experience in Black Hill Regional Park (6/26/2022)

Type: Nontidal
Region: Central
Location: Black Hill Regional Park

It was a rainy evening in Clarksburg, dampening our fishing plans. Once the rain stopped, we had 2 hours to go until sunset, my son didn't want to lose his fishing day to rain. So we decided to go to Black Hill Regional Park for a short fishing trip. The first strike on his fishing rod was this big bluegill. He was so excited we took this pic. As we were getting ready to continue our fishing, he saw a snakehead. This is the first time we've seen one in the wild, he saw one at Washington Zoo last week. To see it live in Black Hill was an exhilarating experience for us. He wanted me to try catching it. We were so excited seeing a snakehead, we even forgot to take pics of them. The next hour was all about snakehead and we were trying to catch it using a Frog. The snakehead was busy protecting its babies so it didn't show any interest in our frog. So we bid adieu to the snakehead and returned back home with a memorable snakehead fishing experience.
