I fished St Marys Lake on 6/29. The blue skies made for a rough day of fishing. Although, there was a slight breeze which did help some.
I ended up catching 11 largemouth bass and two chain pickerel on a Shad colored square billed plug and a deep diving green/gray jerk bait. Most fish were caught on the upper lake in 4-6 of water, around grass, stumps and scattered lily pads. Casting and trolling both worked.
I ran across a friend and his son. They were catching small bass, crappie and a few nice yellow perch on 1/8oz jig with a chartreuse twister tail.
