My mom told me "the first thing your grandfather said when we told him they were having a baby (his first grandchild) was 'I can't wait to take him or her fishing!'" We are fishing buddies now. PopPop was packing things up to leave the pond and I caught this bluegill. What a surprise when he came running back to see what I hauled in - the biggest bluegill he had ever seen. It was a very memorable day for the two of us and for my family back home who kept getting phone calls about the status of our fun.
