Freshwater Striped Bass and White Perch

My friend Zach got me interested in helping with Hero�s on the Water. So on 8/26 we arrived at Rocky Gorge to head out on the water with active duty soldiers from Ft. Mead for a little fishing. Fun day!

I caught a nice striped bass (24.5�) and a few white perch too by slow pitch jigging in 36� of water.

Surface water temperature on the lake was 81+, very sunny day and the water was crystal clear. And the lake was drawn down too, (see photo) it was like fishing in a bowl. So I figured the fish were deep. I simply jigged on fish I saw on the meter. It was a tough day of fishing.
