Type: Tidal
Region: Southern
Location: Mallows Bay
On Wednesday 14th I fished the Potomac River off Mallows Bay. I fished back up in the creek too. The bay, the burning basin and the creeks are all weed choked and mostly unfishable.
Targeting and catching:
Baits: 3/8 & 1/2oz chatter baits dressed w/4 white paddle tail plastics. 1/4 & 3/8 VMC jig w/gulp 3 smelt minnow.
The blue catfish are thick there, if the largemouth bass or snakehead bite is slow at Mallows, I always turn to the river. The catfish unfortunately never fail to disappoint.
