The University of Maryland Eastern Shore is doing research to understand how anglers in Maryland are changing while keeping a long tradition of fishing and boating alive. They want to find ways to introduce new anglers to the Bay and the outdoors and understand their new expectations and behaviors.

Much of their research focuses on the attitudes and perceptions of experienced and new anglers. The University of Maryland Eastern Shore understands how critical it is to support recreational fishing as the sport directly funds conservation in the Bay.
