A Few Days

Type: Nontidal
Region: Central
Location: Magothy River, Beechwood Park

I ran up to the Magothy out of Beechwood Park on Saturday (10/22). Not much happening up there that day. A few lucky anglers were catching white and yellow perch on minnows and a small crankbait respectfully. One angler said he had a 20 striped bass too, on minnow.

I happened into a 33.5 carp, great fight, but I was hunting pickerel not carp. Not a word from the seven anglers I spoke to on the pickerel front.

Yesterday (10/23) I ran up to Calvert Cliffs park when the rain started, casting on stocker rainbows. Catching eight and a few bluegill too.

Today (10/24) my grandson Aidan and I fished a small pond up in Charles County. We caught six largemouth bass on a jerkbait and a 1/4oz jig with a 3 Kietech paddle tail.
