I fished for freshwater fish on the Eastern Shore this week (3/20-22), fishing out of Snow Hill on the Pocomoke and I took a few cast out on the Blackwater too. And while Fletchers is in DC I fished the Potomac for shad on Thursday.
I caught mostly largemouth bass and shad this week, as well as, some white perch on the Blackwater too.
I did try the concrete ships out of Kiptopeke, VA on Tuesday, for tog, but nothing there yet./p>
My total catch was: 15 largemouth bass, a pickerel a few white perch and 16 hickory shad. Bass were caught on a red square billed crankbait and a shad colored jerk bait. Shad were caught on a tandem, Shad dart and silver spoon.
I did get a small bass and crappie at the pond at Indian Creek NRMA too, stopping on the way back from Fletchers. I snagged a gizzard Shad along the way somewhere too, UGH!!
I found a group of mylar balloons too while out on the Blackwater, from a distance I thought it may had been a boater in distress, but only our environment was. I untangled them and pulled them from the water. Please dont release balloons, they only pollute and harm wildlife.
