Hickory Shad Fishing

I fished the upper Mattawoman Creek for three hours on 3/27. I caught 76 hickory shad on a shad dart (both of chartreuse and white) and spoon (gold and silver) tandems. Catching two doubles too. Biggest fish was 18.25�

I took a trash bag with me and took few moments to pick up the area. Ugh� with the yellow and white perch runs just ending there has been lot of trash left behind by anglers.

I caught fish from right above the bridge up to the pool under the power lines. I fished right at high tide and then the dropping.

I removed my sun gloves because of C&R but paid the price with a cut up palm :-/
A fun few hours, though.
