Fletchers Boat House-Fair to Good Fishing

The shad are in at Fletchers Boat House on the Potomac River in Washington DC. Fishing is slow to medium with shad hitting on medium sized shad darts of various colors such as red, yellow and white. I started the day at 1:30 PM and fished to 7:30 PM with about 20 Shad caught and released of which two were American Shad. It was a windy day making casting sometimes difficult. Fishing seemed to pick up toward evening when the sun starting to go down and cloudy conditions prevailed.
