Fish Fillets Available at Smallwood

Maryland Department of Natural Resources and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service are working together to learn the impacts of bowfishing on helping to lower abundance of northern snakehead and learn more about its use as a harvesting method for blue catfish. During that work, charter boat captains and their mates provided filleted fish that have been bagged and stored at Smallwood State Park. People interested in trying a raw fillet of either snakehead or blue catfish may get one bag for free at a freezer located near the General Store of Smallwood State Park.
