Fishing Share the Fun

The Fishing Share the Fun campaign was launched in spring of 2022 to address the post-pandemic decline in fishing participation. Sadly, our year-two challenge is even bigger, as we saw a net loss of 2.4 million fishing participants in 2021. ?

While we gained 11.6 new or returned anglers, 14 million people left the sport. This equates to a $1,347* loss in annual industry revenue per lost angler. $18,858,000,000 Almost $19 billion!?

How can we stem those losses? ASA is partnering with the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation to expand the reach and engagement of FSTF and provide for members the tools needed to launch a successful R3 campaign this summer.?
