Bluegills and Bass in Local Ponds

Type: Nontidal
Region: Central
Location: Ponds

With the heat coming on strong we were able to land many large bluegills, pumpkinseeds and a few large bass in a number of local ponds throughout the central Maryland region recently. Biggest bluegills took live worms and Mule Jig Burro Bugs and the accidental giant largemouths took the same.Large, spawning redbreast sunfish are in shallow in many of our central Maryland streams and will take a variety of small lures on ultra light gear. Great time of year to be on the water!
