08/20/2023 WEST/RHODE RIVER

Type: Tidal
Region: Central
Location: WEST/RHODE RIVER

I, aka CRABBERMANJL, went out for the first time of the season on 8/20 . I ran the trot line and we started at 6:28 AM and finished up at 9:10 AM and caught the incoming tide. Water temps were 65 degrees in a 4-7 ft. depth.

I managed to catch 27 very nice, dark, fat crabs I caught a lot of over 7 (13) an 8.1, an 8 and 7 3/4. I had four doublers and a ton of little crabs, a few females, and had a bunch of throwbacks (white bellies, paper shells, etc.)

What a great way to spend a Sunday (until the boat motor started acting up). I hope to be back on the water next weekend! Fingers crossed.
