Smallmouth in the Gunpowder River

On Thursday evening Sept. 14th I fished from one of the old NCRR bridges that crosses the Gunpowder River in northern Baltimore County and caught this beautiful 15 1/2 inch Smallmouth Bass. I was fortunate to have a passing hiker take this quick picture in the fading daylight before I released him to be caught another day. (Coincidentally, I had caught a Largemouth Bass of equal size almost a year ago to the day at the same bridge!)
