Shad on Monday

On Monday 4/15 I got up at 3:30, got some gear together, then headed out at 4:15 up to Fletchers. Arriving at 5:55. There I met my buddy, Billy Londeree. We fished the river til 8:00. The bite wasn�t there. I had five fish on and they all came unbuttoned. The one fish I got eyes on was a blue catfish.

I then called my friend Gene Wright. He and friend Julian Tsai were fishing the Mattawoman. The bite was hot so Billy and I headed over. In the interim Julian caught a 26� snakehead on a Shad dart.

We arrived, and while Billy was getting into his boots I caught three Shad. It wasn�t long and he caught his first Shad, first Shad that he had ever caught.

Gene and Julian caught an estimated 80+ shad and the snakehead. Billy and I caught around 35/37 fish combined.
