On 4/28, I fished the Potomac River at Fletchers for hickory shad with my grandson Aidan. We caught just a few hickory and a few blueback herring. Slow day. Two friends fished there also. They caught just one or two each. Sam, son of fishing friend Billy, had a blast reeling in a blueback herring.

Wednesday, 5/1 I fished St Mary�s Lake. I caught 30 largemouth bass, three pickerel, a crappie and a bluegill. Wacky rig, spinnerbait and square billed crankbait.
