Blue Catfish off Calvert Beach

I spent a little time early last fishing from the jetty at Calvert Beach. I had seen another gentleman catching some fish so I decided to give it a try as well. Casting a small piece of Fishing Bites on a jig, I was looking for bottom fish like spot or croaker. But I hooked into something much bigger. I had to fight it all the way back to the shore since it was too large to lift onto the jetty itself. So there�s one less invasive fish wreaking havoc on the Chesapeake Bay.
