Snakes on the Dundee III

<p>On June 8 the Department of Natural Resources and The US Fish and Wildlife Service held a fishing derby at the Gunpowder State Park. This was the Third edition of this event "Snakes on the Dundee".</p> <p><b>Derby Winners:</b> Maryland DNR gave away 15 tackle boxes for door prizes. Four Northern Snakehead were caught by adult participants. Maryland FWCO provided prizes to all who presented a fish.</p> <p><b>The adult winners were as follows:</b> <ul> <li>1st: Darrin Dale (12.7 lbs.)</li> <li>2nd: Mike Petrosky (5.6 lbs)</li> <li>3rd: Roy Boyd Jr (4.1 lbs, 24”)</li> <li>Brenton Hamlett - (4.1 lbs, 23.5”)</li> </ul></p> <p><b>In the child division:</b> <ul> <li>Colby Smith (10 years old) presented a bag of Snakehead fry (20-30 fry) and won the first-place prize.</li> </ul></p> <p>To learn more about this event go to: <a href="https://dnr.maryland.gov/fisheries/pages/snakehead_derby.aspx" target=”_blank”>https://dnr.maryland.gov/fisheries/pages/snakehead_derby.aspx</a></p>
