REMINDER ON RULES FOR FISHMARYLAND AWARD PROGRAM

Type: Nontidal and Tidal
Region: Statewide
Location:

Anglers are reminded that when submitting photos for the FishMaryland award program, the photo must include the fish laying on a tape measure or board, with the mouth closed, and tip of snout on the end of the tape or board as shown in the diagram. (For blue crabs, the tape measure should go from point to point and the distance must be at least 8 inches). Before you send in the picture, make sure the fish meets the minimum eligibility size for the species you caught. When taking a picture with your cell phone, hold the phone horizontally (landscape), not vertically.

After you have taken the picture and verified the length, send your picture to [email protected], as instructed on the registration form. Finally, Submit your catch through our online registration process. Please do not send photos with no registration information.
