A Couple Days of Fishing
Type: Nontidal and Tidal
Region: Southern
Location: St. Mary's Lake and Point Lookout State Park

On 11/17 I fished out of Point Lookout State Park. It took a bit to find the fish, then I ran out of time.

Anyway…

I didn’t see any fish at the jetties, lighthouse or rock piles near there. I finally found a school of fish on a rock pile out near the channel. Catching on 1/2 jig with 5” plastics.

On 11/18, I fished St Mary’s Lake and caught largemouth bass, crappie and a single pickerel.
Bass were caught on wacky rig in thin water around laydowns. Other bass, crappie, and the pickerel in 15-20’ of water on a silver buddy blade bait, slow pitch jigging. Well the pickerel was caught while I was untangling a birds nest on my reel. Bait was dragging along the bottom when I got bit!
