Mattawoman Fishing

<p>I fished two locations on 3/19, Mattawoman Creek out of Mason Springs and then I fished a couple of farm ponds over near Allen’s Fresh with my friend Dennis Flemming.</p> <p> I was catching small yellow perch at Mason Springs on a small jig, chartreuse with a flashy tail. I saw several other yellow perch caught, but only a few that were keepers. I then headed over to fish farm ponds with Dennis looking for largemouth bass. Our biggest one probably weighed 3.5 or 4 pounds. They were all decent size fish. We were catching them on spinner baits and jerk baits.</p>
