Hickory Shad on the Mattawoman

<p>Yesterday (3/22) around 9:11 am I received a text from a friend who said that a friend of his caught shad on the Mattawoman in the morning. Well I hadn’t planned to fish then, but by 9:19 I was heading down the road.</p> <p> Once I arrived, there were quite a few cars in the lot. Yellow perch fishers. Actually, the same set of anglers I’ve seen over the past several days there.
