<p><b>Snakes on the Dundee IV - June 7, 2025 | 5am - 2:30pm</b></p> <p> <b>Location:</b> Gunpowder Falls State Park<br/> Dundee Creek Marina<br/> 7400 Graces Quarters Road<br/> Middle River, MD 21220<br/> </p> <p> <b>Public outreach activities include:</b> <ul> <li>seeing and talking about aquatic nuisance species.</li> <li>making fish prints of invasives and other fish to learn more about their body form.</li> <li>learning how to bow fish with Captain Bill Bates, Southern MD Bowfishing.</li> <li>hearing more about how to fish using hook-and-line with Lena Sawyers (Maryland Department of Natural Resources).</li> <li>learning how to fillet an invasive to eat by Branson Williams (Maryland Department of Natural Resources).</li> </ul></p> <p> <b>Tentative Agenda:</b></p> <p> 5:00 am - Check-in and information (until 1pm)<br/> Marina Opens - Free Door Prize Tickets<br/> 9:00 am - Bowfishing with Captain Bates *(Group 1 )<br/> 9:00 am - Fish prints with MCC (all day)<br/> 9:00 am - Fishing Demo with MD DNR<br/> 10:00 am - Bowfishing with Captain Bates *(Group 2)<br/> 10:00 am - NSH free samples (while supplies last)<br/> 10:00 am - Fillet Demo with MD DNR<br/> 11:00 am - Bowfishing with Captain Bates *(Group 3)<br/> 11:00 am - Fishing Demo with MD DNR<br/> 12:00 pm - Bowfishing with Captain Bates *(Group 4 )<br/> 12:30 pm - Bowfishing talk with Captain Bates *<br/> 1:00 pm - Fillet Demo with MD DNR<br/> 2:00 pm - Snakehead and Blue Catfish weigh-in<br/> 2:30 pm - Derby Winners and Door prizes announced!<br/> *Important: Bowfishing demos are limited capacity; sign up at dock behind marina to reserve your spot.
