Point Lookout
Type: Tidal
Region: Southern
Location: Point Lookout

I fished Point Lookout on 5/27 with friend Billy. Getting on the water a bit before 6:00, I headed out towards the channel that leads out Cornfield Harbor. I dropped a line over the gunnel. Although I didn’t see any fish on the sidescan I hooked up with a striped bass. This guy was sick. I released him quickly. Billy arrived a bit later.

So, I headed out towards the lighthouse, the tide would end in an hour or so. Once there I caught an under slot striped bass. Then a second. After a few more casts I hooked up with a speckled trout. As Billy arrived I caught my last fish. A fourth striped bass. The only slot fish was the first and sick fish.

The bite ended and the wind kicked up so we pulled off the water.
