Ocean City Surf: Fall Migrant Striped Bass

<p>I've been fishing the Ocean City surf most of this week on the morning high tides Thursday through Saturday (11/6-11/8/25).</p> <p> On Thursday morning, I cleared a long standing item off the fishing bucket list, catching a trophy 40+" fish out of the surf in Ocean City proper. This fish was caught on cut mullet in mid ocean city. I've dreamed of catching one of these in the surf for the past 40 years.</p> <p> I got a quick photo and estimated the size using a mark on my rod. Total length was estimated at 46-48". Got her back in the water and she swam away strong. Lots of Spiny Dogfish and Clearnose skate to provide additional tuggage.</p>
