Potomac Fishing

Type: Tidal
Region: Southern
Location: Potomac River

Fishing the potomac has always been hit or miss for me. It depends on the water level ALOT and the time of day obviously. I have gone at times when the water is low and I lose tons tackle and bait to snags. I have gone other times and caught a catfish every 10 casts. This is one of the experiences where I caught a fish every 10 casts. I caught about 7-10 total but only kept the large ones on a stringer for photo before releasing. Largest one was about 23 inches long and maybe 4 lbs. The avg. size and the one I am holding was approx 15-18 inches.
