Owings Mills, MD 21117 City: County: Baltimore Description: Meet an ambassador owl from our aviary and take a one-mile hike to listen for wild owls. Learn about owl biology, habitat, diet and conservation. Fun for all ages! Children under 16 must be with an adult.Call 410-922-3044 to register. Rain or shine! Cost: $5/person. Directions: From the Beltway (I-695): Take I-795 to Franklin Blvd. West, turn right. Bear right at Church Rd. Turn left at stop sign onto Berrymans Lane. Turn left at Deer Park Rd. and go for 2.5 miles, to Visitor Center entrance on the right. From Rt. 26 West : Take Rt. 26 to Wards Chapel Rd. Turn Left. Follow Wards Chapel to stop sign, and turn right onto Deer Park Rd. Entrance is 1 mile on the right. | Rocks State Park 2/4/2017 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Location: 3805 Saint Clair Bridge Road City: Jarrettsville County: Harford Description: Join a park ranger on a guided hike, and find out how the history of the area has shaped the park today. Discover clues on what may have come before us, and how people transformed the landscape. Meet at Wilson's Picnic area, the former location of LaGrange Iron Works. Please dress for the weather and hiking. The hike is approximately 2 miles and relatively steep in sections. Program participation is free, however area service charges apply. Cost: No Cost, area service charges apply Directions: From Route 24 North: Turn left on Saint Clair Bridge Road. Wilson's is the first picnic area on the Right. Cost: Suggested $8 donation Directions: From Washington, D.C, Virginia and points south, take I-270 north towards Frederick, Maryland. Take Exit 10, Clopper Road (Route 117). Turn right at the light at the bottom of the ramp. The park is approximately 2 miles on the left. From points north, take I-270 south towards Washington, D.C., take Exit 11 (MD Route 124 west). Create a twig tree craft, a tin can lantern or a pink snowman for Valentine’s Day. Children 10 & under must be accompanied by parent or guardian. Donations to benefit the Friends of SCSP warmly appreciated. Appropriate winter clothing will be a must, with possible snow on the ground. Rain or shine! Call 410-833-5508 to register. Ages 12 and up. Cost: FREE; donations welcome. Directions: Meet at the parking area along River Road on the Howard County side about ½ mile down river of Sykesville. Look for the white Ford pickup.
