| Gunpowder Falls State Park 1/12/2017 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Location: Jerusalem Mill (2813 Jerusalem Road, Kingsville, MD 21087) City: Kingsville County: Baltimore Description: January brings the Wolf Moon, a Native American name for the full moon in January when hungry packs of wolves would howl outside their villages. Join park staff for a twilight hike at Jerusalem Mill. Please wear warm clothes, sturdy shoes and bring a flashlight or headlamp. Meet at the bulletin board by the parking lot across from the Mill. All events subject to cancellation due to severe weather. | Seneca Creek State Park 1/14/2017 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Location: Route 355 Seneca Greenway Trail Parking Lot City: Gaithersburg County: Montgomery Description: Take an approximately 6 mile hike on Seneca’s Greenway trail to burn off the winter blues and get a great cardio workout! Wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water. For directions, search for Seneca Creek Greenway Trail Route 355 Parking Lot. Cost: No Cost Directions: From Washington, D.C, Virginia and points south, take I-270 north towards Frederick, Maryland. Take Exit 10, Clopper Road (Route 117). Turn right at the light at the bottom of the ramp. The park is approximately 2 miles on the left. From points north, take I-270 south towards Washington, D.C., take Exit 11 (MD Route 124 west). Turn right at the light at the bottom of the ramp. At the second light, turn right onto Clopper Road (Route 117). The park is approximately 1.5 miles on the left.
